And The Memories Remain

Been spending a lot of time rehashing all sorts of memories lately. Childhood, relationships, the births of my Daughters. It's amazing at just how much can happen within what always seems like a blink of an eye.

I'm not exactly sure how I've been feeling these days.. there just seems to be so much of different things happening all at once.

It all started about one week back now, I was out to dinner with Dave & the Girls. Kaylin was very eager to listen to all kinds of stories... So Dave and I spent a few hours with the girls talking about the things that had happened. It was very heart warming to think back on all the wonderful memories we shared.

We talked about many different things. Our own childhood memories, and Kaylin's childhood memories.

I did this 20 things about me on facebook, it was quite fun reading up on facts of the people i love and adore.... I remembered all these silly little things about the things I've done

*shaving my hair, dying it pink & red...
*Being scared of moths :S it's not one i mentioned, but it's a fear of mine.. not really fear, but they creep me out, i suppose.
* I was in Figure Skating when i was younger, I don't recall at what age, but I did it for a year, and i had this little blue figure skating suit as well..
* I did a bit of my native traditional dancing in my much younger years
* I remember once finding 50 dollars when i was pretty young, found it in a dressing room
- mom was actually cool about it and asked if i wanted to turn it in, or keep it. haha i was a kid! I kept it! and bought a Mario game with the money (yup, for the original Nintendo haha)

Another funny memory i have, wasn't too funny for my Mom :|
We were driving up to the store to.. well shop. and we just got off the suspension bridge, and i was feeling something on my hair, at first, i had thought it was the wind, so thought nothing of it, but it started annoying me, so i slowly placed my hand on the top of my head and OMG! i felt this horrible little nasty body under my hand! I freak out! it was this HUGE hard shelled, bug with little bumps on his back (not sure what type it was) and i'm sitting there ready to just die! I quickly grabbed it as i sat there in the passenger seat, screaming :| yes i screamed a few times, got a hold of it (one of the most disgusting things I've done) and threw him to the floor of the car in front of me.

My Mom freaked out along with me, since she actually had NO IDEA what was going on. we were actually driving in silence before all this happened. She kinda swerved the car a bit, and looked over at me in fear of what was going on.

:/ as soon as she knew i was only freaking because of a bug, she was annoyed! :S told me "I thought someone had shot you" :| Why she had thought that, who knows.. haha.. still its funny to remember.

I had a ferret once, his name was "Little Bugger" got him from my cousin, Brody. I loved, and hated him... he passed on when I was pregnant with Kaylin. Yes, that was a horrible experience, especially since my hormones were going crazy, I cried for half the day, spent that day in bed.

He was a rather funny little thing. Dave and I would let him out daily, let him run a muck around the house. It didn't take long for him to discover the potato bag, we soon found out he was hording our potatoes and stashing them around the house.

Dave would chase him a few times, if he was running off with things, and it was funny to watch, Bugger would be running at an angle to make sure he could keep an eye on Dave, yet making his great escape at the same time.

We lived in a camper once, for awhile. It's not something many know, but yes, Kaylin, Dave and I lived in a camper once. One of those ones you put onto a truck. It actually wasn't the worst. despite the problems Dave & I were having, we all had a great time, and made many great memories during that month. Kaylin & I had actually been kicked out of a family shelter :| believe it or not.. Only because we were only allowed to be there one month, but still, it's not like i wanted to be there, just had to be there.

We made it work. We lived in the camper because by then, Dave and I had also ended our relationship and took a break. So since Kaylin and I had to leave the Shelter, her and I still had no where to live, so we took camp with Dave in the camper. (He ended up giving notice in the apartment we had stayed in, so he was already living in the camper by then)...

Kaylin and I found this really nice apartment, that we were to share with my Cousin, that fell through, which really sucked, because i had already taken the place.. it was a three bedroom apartment in the upper class part of the Lower Mainland (Coquitlam BC)

We had access to a pool in the building complex, which sadly, we never used.
I believe it was during this time, we took Kaylin to one of the many lakes in the area, and had a beautiful time. Kaylin & Dave were standing at the edge of the water, and i think it Dave who seen the Rabbit, so we showed Kaylin, or tried to. Ended up having to sneak up behind the thing to get her to see him. She finally spotted the long eared bunny sitting in the grass and took off chasing the thing towards the woods. I still have the picture of her running after it. It's one of my favorites.

Oh, I can keep going on and on about these stories, but i am exhausted. and must get some sleep. Thanks for reading :)
